I was a service user and volunteer at SYEDA over 15 years ago. Their support enabled me to recover and also stimulated my passion for the charity sector. I worked in the charity sector for a number of years before becoming a researcher in public health.
I am currently a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Sheffield specialising on the impact of the charity sector on health services. For example, I am leading a study exploring how to better support the charity sector workforce.
I have been a trustee at SYEDA since 2023. I am particularly interested in ensuring that the people who use SYEDA's services have a say in the charity and its development.
